The one‑time fee associated with establishing an Edgewater Gazette Inc. Chapter is used solely to support the administrative, technical, and onboarding resources required to set up your local Chapter. This fee is not a recurring charge, does not grant ownership of Edgewater Gazette Inc. intellectual property, and does not constitute a franchise or licensing agreement.

Payment of the one‑time fee provides access to initial setup services, onboarding materials, branding guidelines, and support necessary to launch your Chapter. It does not guarantee specific outcomes, audience growth, or revenue. All Chapters must operate in accordance with Edgewater Gazette Inc. editorial standards, ethical guidelines, and community policies.

Edgewater Gazette Inc. reserves the right to update or modify Chapter requirements, standards, or support processes at any time to maintain the integrity and mission of the organization.

The one‑time fee of $500.00 is non‑refundable once onboarding has begun.

Each Chapter becomes a trusted, hyper‑local news source that reflects the identity and needs of its community.

    🚀 How to Get Started

Launching a Chapter is designed to be accessible, collaborative, and community‑driven. Here’s what the first steps look like:

    1. Express Your Interest

Reach out to Edgewater Gazette Inc. and let us know your city is interested in establishing a Chapter. This can come from:

    • A resident
    • A community leader
    • A local organization
    • A small team of volunteers

    2. Share Basic Information About Your City

We’ll ask for a few details to understand your community’s needs:

    • Population size
    • Current access to local news
    • Gaps in coverage
    • Any unique challenges or priorities
    • Whether there are potential contributors already interested

This helps us tailor support to your city’s reality.

    3. Identify Potential Contributors

    A Chapter can start with:

    • A single dedicated organizer
    • A small team of volunteers
    • A mix of writers, photographers, or community reporters

We don’t require professional journalism experience — just a commitment to accuracy, fairness, and community service.

    4. Introductory Call

    We’ll schedule a conversation to:

    • Learn more about your goals
    • Explain the support we provide
    • Discuss expectations and responsibilities
    • Answer any questions you may have

This call ensures everyone is aligned before moving forward.

    5. Review the Chapter Agreement

    This document outlines:

    • Editorial standards
    • Publishing guidelines
    • Ethical expectations
    • Roles and responsibilities
    • Support you’ll receive from Edgewater Gazette Inc.

Once the agreement is accepted, your Chapter moves into onboarding.

    🔄 The Process

After your Chapter is approved, we guide you through a structured, supportive launch process.

    1. Onboarding & Training

    We provide:

    • A full overview of our editorial standards
    • Training on reporting basics and ethical guidelines
    • Accessibility best practices
    • Tools for community engagement
    • Guidance on how to structure your local coverage

This ensures your Chapter starts strong and stays aligned with our mission.

    2. Chapter Page Setup

We create your city’s official section within the Edgewater Gazette Inc. network. This includes:

    • A dedicated landing page
    • Contributor profiles
    • Publishing tools
    • Branding elements
    • Access to shared resources

Your Chapter becomes part of a larger, trusted news ecosystem.

    3. Content Planning

    We help you:

    • Identify priority topics
    • Map out early coverage
    • Establish a publishing rhythm
    • Build relationships with local officials, organizations, and residents

This stage sets the foundation for sustainable reporting.

    4. Soft Launch

    Before going public, you’ll:

    • Publish initial stories
    • Test workflows
    • Receive feedback from our team
    • Make any needed adjustments

This ensures your Chapter is polished and ready for public engagement.

    5. Public Launch Announcement

    We work with you to:

    • Announce the new Chapter to your community
    • Share the mission and purpose
    • Invite residents to follow, contribute, or volunteer
    • Build early momentum and trust

This is your Chapter’s introduction to the world.

    6. Ongoing Collaboration

After launch, you’ll continue to receive:

    • Editorial support
