Community Groups are a new initiative by the Edgewater Gazette, launching in Spring 2026, created to bring people together in meaningful ways. They are designed to strengthen neighborhood connections, encourage civic engagement, and provide a welcoming space for dialogue, collaboration, and creativity.

Each group will form around shared interests such as civic issues, the arts, environmental projects, or youth leadership. Meetings will take place regularly, both in person and online, so that everyone has a chance to participate. Guided by community volunteers and supported by Gazette resources, the groups will give residents a stronger voice in shaping local priorities while offering opportunities to learn, share knowledge, and launch grassroots projects.

The Gazette believes these Community Groups will become a cornerstone of local life, giving every resident the chance to be heard and to contribute to a more vibrant and inclusive Edgewater.
